SOURCING APPRORIATE SOUND ACCOMPANIMENT FOR A VIDEO PRODUCTION

A) When looking for sounds to use in my movie i came across many websites claiming to be copyright/ royalty free music and sounds but when i went to download them they try to make me pay. I finally came across a website called "Free sounds", i used this website to get sound effects like the water drop and the birds singing. Free sounds wasn't the only website i used to get sounds for my movie, i also used "Internet archive" to download the background music which i had chosen.

Freesounds offers a wide range of copyright free sounds going from A-Z listing all the sounds categorically. Its very simple to find the sound you are looking for on this website, you can either search for your sounds using the search bar or you can use the tags tab and look for your sound in categories. Once you have found your sound you simply select it and hit the download button and choose where to save it.

Internet archive is a lot like freesounds, however this website offers a lot more than just sounds. It offers a wide a selection of stock photos, stock video, feature films and more. I used this website to download my background music "pure imagination remix", when i searched this on the website i looked for the highest rated upload and download that one.

Royalty free refers to the right to use copyright material or intellectual property without the need to pay royalties or license fees for each use, per each copy. It takes away the need to get involved in more complicated license agreements. It’s a simple way to add great music to your project.
