DEMONSTRATE ENCODING VIDEO FOR VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS AND PLATFORMS AND UPLOAD ENCODED VIDEO ON VARIOUS ONLINE PLATFORMS

When coming to uploading my short film to YouTube I decided to use the video format AVI or MP4, after previewing both of them I decided to go with AVI. There was two big reasons to go with AVI instead of MP4, first of all YouTube supported AVI eventhough they also supported MP4 AVI also give me 2 black bars on the top and bottom of the screen which give it a very nice cinematic look to it. Once i had exported the final video onto my desktop I simply opened YouTube to upload the video and dragged and dropped the video into the upload box, I then had to wait a few moments while the video uploaded to YouTube. After it was uploaded I had to embed it into my blogger post, this was very simply, I copied the embed link and then pasted it into the embed section of my blogger page where it was then showed on the page.

IDENTIFY THE FORMATS USED WHEN ENCODING VIDEO

What are video encoding formats? Video encoding formats, also called video file formats are methods of optimizing video files for different platforms and devices. There are many different kinds of video encoding formats, but each is composed of two main parts, a codec and a container.  How does video encoding work? Video encoding is the process of compressing and potentially changing the format of video content. In regards to compression, the goal is to shorten it down so that it consumes less space. This is because it's a process that throws away information related to the video or audio. What is a codec? Codec's are computer program's that compresses and decompresses data into a smaller format so that it can be easily transported and received by different applications. Separate codecs are used to compress audio and video files, but they generally work in the same way. What is a container? A container can put together an encoded video or audio stream and m...

REVIEWING STRENTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF MY SOUND SOURCING AND SOUND CREATION

While sourcing the audio for my movie i felt i had some strengths that helped me out while doing this, for example once i downloaded the audio files i had to import them into my project timeline and this is were i felt most skilled. Editing the audio together was rather easy, i simply just inserted it onto my time line and cut it down to the correct size. However, i felt like i had some areas to improve on while sourcing and editing the audio. I needed to know more about copyright free music and how it worked, for example when sourcing my audio i used a specific download and used it in my final movie but when i uploaded the video to youtube it was taken down very quick. This was because the audio i had sourced wasn't actually copyright free meaning the website lied to me.  I feel like the editing stage went very well, i used premiere pro in the past but not to do anything this big i had only inserted sound tracks and cut them down before. I learnt to adjust the audio levels aft...

SOURCING APPRORIATE SOUND ACCOMPANIMENT FOR A VIDEO PRODUCTION

A) When looking for sounds to use in my movie i came across many websites claiming to be copyright/ royalty free music and sounds but when i went to download them they try to make me pay. I finally came across a website called "Free sounds", i used this website to get sound effects like the water drop and the birds singing. Free sounds wasn't the only website i used to get sounds for my movie, i also used "Internet archive" to download the background music which i had chosen.   https://freesound.org/                                                 https://archive.org/web/ Freesounds offers a wide range of copyright free sounds going from A-Z listing all the sounds categorically. Its very simple to find the sound you are looking for on this website, you can either search for your sounds using the search bar or you can use the tags tab and look for your sound i...
